Jaclyn Schmidt

Hi! I’m Jaclyn, living and making photographs in and around the Sacramento area.

As a recent graduate of California State University: Sacramento, I have dedicated this past year to my Senior Thesis titled: Dripping Paint. Now, I have the best job ever as the Wedding Editor at DK Studio in Midtown, Sacramento where I plan to continue to learn and grow as a photographer. On the weekends, I volunteer to photograph for Fleet Feet: Folsom/Roseville at many of their races because I love being able to photograph the smiles of people who truly love running.

In my spare time, I love walking my dog, Kelsey, along the American River Trail. In the summer, I enjoy simply floating down the river. A lot of my inspiration for making art comes from my summers of hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
